After a few days our neighbours Belarusians will celebrate the day of will – in memory of the BNR independence on 25 March 1918. This is a good opportunity to support the nationally conscious part of the Belarusian society and learn the basics of the Belarusian language, which is very similar to the Ukrainian – up 87% of the vocabulary of our shared languages.
The day of Freedom is for the Belarusians is the same that for Ukrainian independence day, or the anniversary of the Maidan. Officially this holiday does not exist, because the current President hostile to the traditions of the Belarusian people's Republic and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Celebrate the day of will and associated with this distribution of Belarusian language stands in outright opposition to the traditions of the Soviet Union, "scoop" and the Union of Belarus and Russia. At the same time it is the main holiday of those Belarusians who actively supported Ukrainian Independence, often risking their own freedom and even their lives. Such persons were the tens of thousands and so should the Belarusian support remember.
The average Ukrainian has many opportunities to support the Belarusians in their competition with cultural and political prevailing in Moscow, radŝe of support in a symbolic plane. Is the most reliable form of solidarity with the brothers-image is the support of the Belarusian language, which is closely connected with the ideas of freedom and independence of European Belarus. Unfortunately, the Belarusian language has suffered greater repression than Ukrainian, although in recent years can be observed her gradual revival. And this revival requires clear support from the outside: from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania. Many Belarusians wishes would go to Belarusian, but they have doubts, because state propaganda has created the image of Belarusian as menšovartìsnoï language, which the world and neighbors do not understand and do not respect. These doubts disappear when they see that the Belarusians, the remarkable Belarusian know, understand and appreciate their neighbours – Ukrainians, Poles, Lithuanians and that it is closer to them than the Russian. So encourage all those interested to learn at least the basics of the Belarusian language in sign of solidarity with Belarus "says Jakub Loginov, the author of the course of the Belarusian journalist Porto Europe" and vlaskor "the mirror of the week" in Poland.
Belarusian language can be learned instantly, because she is already very similar to the Ukrainian. Thus, Belarusian text clear and for those languages especially not studied. However, on the other hand there are many Belarusian words, which is not similar to the Ukrainian or Russian, and the obscurity of this set purely Belarusian language made it difficult reading or hearing the Belarusian texts. As a rule, the Belarusian language is quite a lot of borrowing from Polish (far more than in the case of the Ukrainian language), on the other hand, in the works of Polish classics including "Mr. Tadeušom" Adam Mickiewicz found surprisingly many Belarusian words in modern Polish does not act.
This is not the first initiative of the portal to the pìdtimku of the Belarusian language.
